Impacting the construction industry and the community around him is a passion of J. Michael Kemp, Sr., President & CEO of Kemp Management Solutions. Mike is committed to ensuring that KMS provides high quality service while maintaining a connection with the community. Mike has planned and managed more than 1500 construction projects valued at more than $6.8 billion. With a commitment to excellence and leadership combined with his industry experience, Mike is able to provide relevant consulting to our clients and guidance to the KMS organization. Mike is heavily involved with several non-profits and is a board member with IberiaBank (Board of Directors), the Alabama Workforce Council, and Operation HOPE just to name a few.

Mitchell Neely

Director of Project Operations

Mitchell has nearly 20 years of experience in the construction industry ranging from industrial, commercial retail, financial, healthcare, and infrastructure sectors.  During this time, Mitchell has touched over $1.5B worth of construction.  Mitchell began gaining his construction experience while he was in school and he graduated from Auburn University in 2002 with a BS in Building Construction. Mitchell is a devoted husband and father to his wife and three boys. Mitchell likes to volunteer his time coaching little league baseball and teaching kids life lessons from the sport that transcends the game.

Hugh Stewart

Director of Project Operations

Hugh considers being a part of the construction community an honor. Having been in the construction industry for 20+ years, Hugh leverages his experience to tailor the services and project delivery models offered by KMS to best suit our clients’ needs. He believes in drawing from the diverse skills of the KMS staff to find the most efficient and effective method to approach our projects. Hugh works closely with our clients to understand their specific needs before work begins in order to customize processes as needed to address unique challenges and accomplish our clients’ goals. Hugh is a graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Building Science. He is involved with his home community—volunteering time with his sons’ youth sports teams and being a member of the local high school quarterback club.

James Kemp

Director of Business Operations

James is responsible for the business operations of the company that support the project management teams. James has been a part of business operations in some capacity at KMS for the last four years. James brings a finance and strategy background to the organization with a degree in finance and an MBA concentrated in strategic management both from the University of Alabama. Two things James values about working at KMS are the caliber of our team members and the collaborative approach the company applies to project management. James currently serves as the treasurer of the Rotaract Club of Birmingham and is an active member of Iron Tribe’s cross fit gym. James is married and has one son.
